| Anne Purbrick (performing name: Anne Lister) is a songwriter, singer, storyteller and workshop facilitator who has toured extensively in the UK, mainland Europe and the US with her music and stories. She has released seven albums of her songs, and is best known for her song “Icarus” which has been sung by numerous performers on the folk music circuit. Brought up in Cardiff, she has also lived in London and Lyon, France and speaks fluent French. Anne moved back home to Wales in 2002, and hasn’t regretted it for a moment. Steve Purbrick is an actor/interpreter, working in a living history museum where the year is always 1645—although he has also portrayed characters from almost every period in British history. He has a sound and thorough knowledge of local history, after working with a local borough to develop their history web portal, and he also has a keen eye for domestic architecture. Anne and Steve both write and they’re both familiar with the creative process, so in addition to being more than capable of taking you to visit the local area (and, where needed, beyond) they understand how to leave you in peace to achieve whatever goal you’ve set yourself. This is, after all, the place for inspiration. |
